Canada to welcome U.S. Tourists from 9 August, 2021
The long wait will soon be over for U.S. tourists wishing to come and visit Canada. Foreign nationals have been banned from entering Canada for nearly 16 months. Although it has stopped the spread of the virus, it has kept friends and families apart and has caused economic upheveal for thousands of Canadian businesses that rely on international tourism.
From August 9, fully vaccinated citizens and permanent residents of the United States currently residing in the US will be permitted to enter Canada.
Provided that the "COVID-19 epidemiology remains favorable," International travelers may also be allowed to enter Canada beginning September 7.
